The CALIFA^® simulator has been an invaluable asset at the STS Resident's Bootcamp. Its realistic physiological simulations and diverse scenarios challenge residents to apply critical thinking and clinical skills. The software's user-friendly interface and the newly introduced silicone heart model, which offers cleaner, repeatable practice, have significantly enhanced our training. Residents consistently rate our station as one of the most representative of real-world cardiac surgery skills. As a cardiac surgeon and educator, I see immense potential for this tool in surgical training programs.
